Family Nutrition Program

The Family Nutrition Program (SNAP-ED) Program Assistant and Volunteers are committed to providing the best nutritional programs to their clients. It is not only important to teach the information but to also meet their clients’ needs. They accomplish these goals through:

Personal Commitment
Mentoring

Who We Serve:

  • SNAP/Medicaid/SSI Recipients
  • Those eligible for SNAP/Medicaid/SSI
  • Income Eligible (≤185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines)
  • Families enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

We help families and individuals by:

  • teaching nutrition information and food related skills
  • encouraging healthy eating habits
  • teaching skills to stretch food resources.
