Each week we average 31 new clients and are serving no less than 150 families per day.
Food donations for June and July are significantly down. Although the recent grants are a blessing, some are designated for non-food purchases (building and ground renovations, upkeep, etc). We have used some of the unrestricted money to purchase food and it is on its way to us, however the food purchased will go quickly.
Will you, your family, or a sponsoring group consider a food and toiletry drive over the next few weeks to help us get through August and early September?
Help us stock toiletries and essential items that our clients cannot purchase with food stamps: shampoo, soap, men’s/women’s deodorant, lotion, men’s shaving cream and razors, toothbrushes, tooth paste, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, laundry detergent, and dish-washing soap.
Food items needed: any canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, rice, ramen noodles, Hamburger Helper, small boxes of breakfast cereal, and packets of oatmeal.
