More than 16,000 people in Danville live on incomes below the federal poverty line. More than 6,500 people have incomes that only reach slightly above the federal poverty line and are unable to qualify for federal/state assistance programs. God’s Storehouse is able to serve the needs of these groups, ensuring cupboards are never completely bare and people can always feed their families.
The God’s Storehouse motto is, “United to Feed the Hungry.” The original goal of reaching those in need to provide food is still our objective.
Most of the work of God’s Storehouse is performed by 25-30 volunteers each day we are open for distribution. Volunteers range in age and ability, and assist with food donation pick-up, customer check-in, food distribution, sorting food, and other tasks as needed.

You must also read the Volunteer Handbook and acknowledge your receipt of the handbook by completing either the Adult Liability Release or Minor Liability Release.
