5th Annual Danville Area CROP Hunger Walk

October 7, 2012, Registration begins at 2:30pm What is a CROP Hunger Walk? It's neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. (CROP = Communites Responding to Overcome Poverty) Join people from Danville's Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Episcopal, and other churches ... and students from our public and private schools and colleges ... and Boy Scouts ... and your friends, neighbors, and co-workers – all walking and working together to fight hunger and poverty. Each local CROP Hunger Walk can choose to return up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to local hunger-fighting programs. The Danville Area 2011 CROP Hunger Walk will contribute 25 percent of the funds raised to God's Storehouse; 75% will go to fund programs related to hunger and poverty throughout the world, both in the U.S. and abroad. It will begin in the parking lot of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, 107 West Main St. More details will be provided as they become available.

Join us August 7th at 7pm at God’s Storehouse for the CROP Hunger Walk kick-off.   October 7, 2012, Registration begins at 2:30pm What is a CROP Hunger Walk? It’s neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in
